Hides 2-5 are situated on the west side of the small pond
The eastern angle of view is perfect for sunrise backlighting,it is possible to create dramatic images when utilizing back-light and misty conditions.
All four hides are situated on the edge of the pond, and the maximum distance to the other bank of the pond is 25 metres. A 500mm lens on a full frame body, will have the bears filling the frame. A 300mm lens on a full frame body, will allow for some of the environment to be shown in the foreground or background.
As the pond is relatively small, reflections are common in calm weather. As the bears move along the bank, close to the waters edge, it is possible to make some beautiful images with the bear and its reflection.
