Hide 13 is a one person hide with viewing angles on three sides. The rocky outcrop can even be photographed with a longer lens past hide 1. In the photo to the right, there are patches of trees which the bears and other predators can pass near, providing a nice depth of field to your images.
It is possible that the bears can come up to 1m from the hide, allowing other lens than telephoto to be used to good effect. Due to the size of hide 13, the various angles of view are easily used, and you won’t miss any of the action.
Approximately 30m away to the right hand side, there is thick forest cover where the bears can sometimes emerge from. The ground cover between the hide and the trees is wetland, with sages and various vegetation.
During early summer, there are thick beds of cotton grass which are usually prominent around hide 13.
