Hide 7 is located in the island of pine trees, to the north of the small pond. This hide has a completely unique feel compared to the hides situated on the pond or out on the wetland. The forest area is a very quiet and secluded location, with a smaller observational area compared to the other hides. This however, is exchanged for chance to have a very intimate and exciting encounter with the Bears, Wolverine and Wolves.
As the forest area has slightly different conditions from the other hides, it is important to note that available light will be weaker and ideally photographing with a large aperture lens is preferable.
Due to the close proximity of the wildlife in hide 7, a 70-200mm lens on a full frame body, has been a popular choice. A photo showing the bears full frame can be taken with a 300mm lens.
